Tour 1: Neuschwanstein and Wieskirche

Departure from Munich to the castle Neuschwanstein, which is located in the Bavarian alps approx. 3h from Munich. Horse carriages will take you uphill to the castle. It is one of the most popular castles in Europe, realised by King Ludwig II from Bavaria. After a guided tour through Neuschwanstein you will have lunch in the Bavarian restaurant „Wittelsbacher“ with a view of the castle.
Following lunch we visit the famous Wieskirche, an example of an extraordinary catholic church.

Tour 2: Herrenchiemsee Royal Palace

This full day tour will take you through the beautiful Bavarian scenery to “Herrenchiemsee”, one of the most visited countrysides due to the history of King Ludwig II. The tour starts in Prien with a boat trip to Stock. From there we will walk to the Royal Palace. A guided tour will show you the fulfillment of the monarch’s long-cherished dream of a “New Versailles“.
Finally you can enjoy your lunch in the beer garden of the Hotel Herrenchiemsee.

Tour 3: Cultural Excursion

Guided tour through the famous Pinakotheken.
The „Alte Pinakothek“ houses one of the world´s most important collections.
On display are more than 800 paintings, among them numerous well-known masterpieces of 14th to 18th Century European artists. The „Neue Pinakothek“ offers an overview of European paintings and sculptures of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Tour 4: Bayerischer Hof – Blue Spa

High above the roofs of Munich, the Blue Spa is the crowning glory of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. Here star architect Andrée Putman has created a unique oasis in the midst of a lush roof garden. Do you just want to relax? In one of the different saunas? With everything from the ladies’ gentle bio sauna to a mixed sauna with herbal preparations and a steam bath, there’s something for everyone. A plunge pool and several relaxation rooms, including a solarium and sun terraces, leave nothing to be desired.

Tour 5: Munich Citytour

On this bus tour you will see the principal landmarks of Munich with a short stop in the inner city, where you can see the oldest church of Munich – St. Peters. You will cross Königsplatz, and pass the renowned art galleries Lenbachhaus, Old and New Pinakothek. See Marienplatz, which is dominated by the New Town Hall. This building houses the famous Glockenspiel or carillon. The figures perform the Schäfflertanz, or cooper’s dance, which was originally performed in 1517 at the Marienplatz to commemorate the end of the plague.

Tour 6: Landshut

In 800 years of fascinating history, Landshut has amassed an enviable number of art treasures and other cultural riches. Founded in 1204 by Duke Ludwig of Bavaria, Landshut became the seat of the Wittelsbach family’s political power and from 1255 was capital of Bavaria.
As a city of gothic art, Landshut has won worldwide recognition throughout the times. The city centre represents one of the finest streets in all of Germany. This spacious street, built like a market, with its gabled houses which date back to the 15th und 16th centuries, constitutes one of the architectural highlights of the town’s centre.

Tour 7: Allianz Arena
Date: Tuesday, 3 April, 10.00–13.00

The Allianz Arena, opened in 2005 is home to both Munich clubs – Bayern and TSV 1860. It was designed purely as a football stadium and took less than three years to build.
On your tour you will find out all you need to know about the stadium. We will watch a film on development of the Arena and we will visit the changing rooms, players tunnel, press club, business club and sponsors lounges.

Tour 8: Culinary Munich Innercity

The participants will be split in groups of up to 20 persons. One guide per group will lead you to several culinary sites of interest where you will receive knowledgeable explanations with the opportunity to taste!

We will visit the following locations:

  • Die Teeschale (tea shop)
  • Schuhbecks Gewürze (spice shop)

1-day Post Congress Tour to Salzburg

Our day in Salzburg starts with a city tour. This will give you the first impression of Salzburg´s culture and way of life. After the guided tour we will have lunch in the traditional restaurant Stiftskeller St. Peter. Than you will visit the house, where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born. Afternoon for leisure to have an extended stroll through the narrow streets – one of the most famous ones is the Getreidegasse. Why not take a Fiaker ride, an oldtime horse and buggy creation, for a leisurely tour of the city.
